LET’S ALL SUPPORT JUBILEE GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT TO TACKLE GRAFT

By Musyimi Paul (MP)

Jubilee Government is a government that listens to the electorate. After Kenyans spoke out in the past week condemning runaway corruption and appealed to Government to move fast to stem cases of corruption in the public sector, Jubilee Government has reiterated it’s unwavering commitment to make corruption history in Kenya.pic-1

The top leadership of Jubilee Leadership has promised to deal with those implicated in corruption. Over the last weekend, the Deputy President H.E. William Ruto came out to strongly condemn corruption and promised swift action to recover Government resources if any and prosecute those responsible.

The Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday 5th November 2016 was crystal clear on the Jubilee Government’s stand:

“We are a transparent Government and scandals such as the NYS, where Kenyans have lost their monies can’t be tolerated. That is why we have taken people to court and Waiguru should carry her own cross. ”

In other words, the DP is restated the guiding principle of Jubilee Government on matters corruption: There are no sacred cows and never will be such in Jubilee Government. Jubilee Government never tolerates corruption and is always ready to punish it. Those who perpetuate corruption do so at their own peril.

We can only hope that every Kenyan, the Opposition Ranks, the Civil Society, Business Community and Media Fraternity will rally behind and support the Jubilee Government and the Independent Agencies in eliminating the few emergent cases of graft in the earnest.

Here is a good starting point: Let’s all commit to desist from politicizing the Fight against Corruption!

  1. Jubilee Government has shown Kenyans inclusion. Women, youth and PWD’s have benefited with government business under 30 per cent reservations. Truly, do we need a different government?
